3Y0E hits and heats the air again!
One may think only those guys who own at least 1,5kW and fancy beams may work 3Y0E. This is wrong!

Jan 20: Sunday evening ETC time..Petrus has been on the air for many hours working into Europe and the US. Surprisingly, openings to Europe were quite spotty - pipeline shaped - resulting in unexpected openings while 20m seemed to be closed for good. Signals weren’t too strong, but Petrus was workable even with weak signals battling with background noise.
One of those lucky ops was one of 3Y0E.com’s webmaster - Stan SQ8AQD, who managed to work Petrus with only 100 watts and a vertical multibander GP antenna. If you don’t believe, just listen to this sample!
- Conditions were really strange - says Stan SQ8AQD. - I almost lost my hope but kept listening. Suddenly his signal popped up from the noise for only 30 seconds peaking occasionally 5/1 - 5/4 but there was really strong QSB taking him away rapidly. I called only 3 times, and 3rd time was the lucky one! I couldn’t resist on shooting my arms to the sky: me? with 100 watts in a huge pile up? That IS possible! - adds Stan.
In addition, Rhy, ZS6DXB - 3Y0E.com’s press officer, after 3 long weeks of battling, caught 3Y0E on the air - that made his day as well!

I confirm, i have contacted Petrux with also 100w and a 2 elements quad !
